Johnston Longhorns is located in southwestern Oklahoma, midway between Oklahoma City and the Wildlife Refuge (home of WR Longhorns) near Lawton, Oklahoma. 

In June of 2002, we purchased Amigo Chex from the El Coyote Ranch in Kingsville, Texas.  He is a mostly black bull born in 1998 on Bob Loomis’ ranch near Marietta, Oklahoma.  His sire is BL Night Chex – his dam, JMC Phenomenal Peggy Sue.  Amigo Chex is AI certified; semen is available for $50 per straw.  We have sold several beautiful Amigo Chex daughters at sales and by private treaty. 

In November of 2006, we purchased a Butler bull out of the Loomis program – Beau Chex, also born in 1998.  He is a dark red and white bull.  His sire is Coach – his dam, Beau’s Flame.  We have several Beau Chex heifers available for sale.
